Why this blog ?

I am not going to go over the origin of gluten or the details of gluten intolerance.
You will find everything you need to know on the internet.
My father has been gluten intolerant for several years now. So it is a subject close to my heart. Furthermore, the risk that I too might suffer from this intolerance one day or another is not to be ignored. That is another reason which drives me to write about myself.
Apart from intolerance, it is important to know that many people suffer from gluten sensitivity. The symptoms are varied. They are often linked to stress when no organic cause can be found e.g. stomach pain, fatigue, sensitive skin, etc.
I definitely come into the’ highly stressed’ category.
I have read many first-hand accounts which talk about the improvement in the health of people who they reduce gluten or exclude it from their diet.
Please note, I am not talking about a miracle cure, I am just talking about people’s experiences.
Being aware of my genetic predisposition, I decided to carry out my own trial starting by lowering my daily consumption.

Gluten in its current form is not good for anyone in great quantities. Furthermore, lowering one’s consumption will not damage one’s health.
So you will find information in this blog about the different products that I will be trying out and probably more besides.
I have no medical qualifications but I am very curious. I am a computer specialist with a scientific mind and I like to understand things.
Therefore, what you will read in this blog has no medical validity; I am very keen to make that clear.
